Kinu Watanabe grew up in Japan, before moving to Seattle to study ceramics. She received her BFA in Ceramics from Osaka University of Arts, Osaka, Japan, and a MFA in Ceramics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Watanabe’s current work follows a reflection of her emotional interpretations of experiences through memories. Clay is her primary medium, used in installations that allow each individual to experience the piece from his or her own point of view.
