We Are a Crowd of Others, 2016

In collaboration with Gail Grinnell & Eric John Olson

Spun polyester

We Are a Crowd of Others is an expansive, textile-based installation by artists Gail Grinnell, Sam Wildman, and Eric John Olson. Their work features hanging components made from hundreds of yards of spun material that has been drawn on, dyed, cut, and incorporated into the architecture of the building. We Are a Crowd of Others also includes a series of public meals, performances, lectures, and re-enactments which investigate the language and resonance of ordinary acts. The public is invited to visit and observe the process as it unfolds, as well as participate in the programs happening in and around the installation from September, 2016 through January, 2017.
