Katie Miller was born and raised in the backwoods of Northeastern Minnesota, but is now deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest. As a visual artist, Miller primarily creates site-specific installations to establish an environment in which viewers can relate to and reflect on their surroundings. Miller’s practice has been supported by 4Culture, Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, MadArt Studio, Artist Trust, Bellevue Arts Museum, McMillen Foundation, Montello Foundation, Art Farm, Bullseye Glass Factory and Resource Center, and Pratt Fine Arts Center. Miller has been selected for numerous artist residency programs and fellowships throughout the United States, and her work has been collected and exhibited nationally. Miller received a BFA from the University of Washington and an MFA from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia.
