Amie McNeel

Seattle, WA

Amie McNeel creates sculptures that combine metal, clay, wood and glass to inspire a conversation about human engagement with the organic physical world. She is an active member of 3D4M (3-Dimensional Forum) at the University of Washington and has worked closely with colleague Mark Zirpel to develop glass and sculpture facilities within the program. McNeel received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from the University of California Berkeley. She has been selected for numerous artist residency programs, including the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Wisconsin, the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, the Museum of Glass in Washington and Traver Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
