MadArt will be closing permanently in July 2024 so we are no longer booking events at this time. Thank you for your support over the years!

Venue

MadArt Studio is closing permanently in July, 2024. It was a pleasure working with you over these last ten years; thank you for choosing our venue for your celebrations, workshops, meetings, and community events.

In addition to serving as a contemporary art studio and gallery, MadArt Studio is a unique private event venue located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, just north of downtown. We are generally able to host small cocktail-style events during our large-scale interactive art installations, and all types of events (including larger receptions) when the studio is empty between exhibitions. Celebrate in our modern industrial space, AND feel great about your choice: our event revenue directly supports artists in creating new, immersive exhibitions and sharing them with the community.

The Space

MadArt Studio

3800 sq. ft.
$250-$330/hr (8hr min. for larger events / hourly rate available for smaller events)

Constructed in the 1920s, MadArt Studio was once a car dealership and later a DMV where the first driving tests were conducted. Nearly a century later, this historic building has been reimagined with the help of celebrated Seattle design firm, Graham Baba Architects, this time as a hub for unique events and artistic innovation. Featuring the building’s original brick walls alongside exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, MadArt Studio provides a distinctive yet versatile space for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, intimate dinners, and cocktail soirees. Our rates average ~$300/hr but vary depending on timing and scope/scale of event; please email us for additional pricing details.
